Squashed Banana Books was created by children's author, Steve Mansfield, to bring joy and imagination to kids everywhere. His books feature colourful characters and whimsical worlds that will transport your child to a land of wonder and fun. We believe that reading should be an adventure, and Steve's books are certainly designed to spark the imagination and ignite a love of reading in young minds.

About the Author

After semi retiring as a company director in London, Steve finally had the opportunity to pursue his long-awaited writing career from his family home in rural Essex. Despite being a musician and successful singer-songwriter, Steve is also a qualified Personal Trainer. However, his true passion lies in writing children's books and it shows, with his first four books now published, with a further three books to be published at the end of 2025. In fact, his writing skills have been recognised before!

After being nominated at the Los Angeles Music Awards for Best International Newcomer and with the presentation of a prestigious award for his music and lyrics at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and a finalist in the UK Song-writing Competition, Steve still produces and writes music, but devotes his time to his new career as a children's author.
